Where to shop RedMeg other than online...

Happy Saturday lovelies!

So sorry for the delay in posting this week. I have been here, there and everywhere and what with all this snow ( you may POSSIBLY have heard about the weather a little this week hah!) Anyway here we are and I do hope you have found some fun in this snow malarkey ( I love the stuff despite how blooming freezing it has been!) If not then keep in the warm, grab a cup of something lovely and have a read of today's blog. I wanted to shine a little light on my two lovely local stockists this week and tell you a little more about where you can find RedMeg in person if you aren't so keen on online shopping...

BROADWAY...

My first ever bricks and mortar stockist was 'La Bulle' , a leather handbag store in my favourite Cotswold town of Broadway which was a huge inspiration behind me starting RedMeg back in 2014. I actually worked for the owner when this shop was setup so I got to be involved in the whole process of launching La Bulle and once all the new suppliers arrived it really inspired me to pick up a sketchbook for probably the first meaningful time since graduating. I struggled after finishing two placements in London to really figure out what area of design I specifically wanted to get in to. All I knew was that I didn't want to work for anyone anymore, I wanted to build my own little empire! So when La Bulle finally opened offering mainly beautiful Italian leather handbags it got me thinking. I noticed a distinct lack of British made handbags , many British brands only design in UK then produce abroad. Not that there is anything wrong with this but I have a real passion for being hands on from start to finish and part of this involves producing on home turf. After the insight of what ladies were looking for in there next favourite handbag and a new found love for designing handbags in my spare time, RedMeg was born!

When I was ready to launch the first collection it only made sense to launch in the very store that inspired it all to begin with. So in November of 2014 I held a small launch party in store and officially had my first stockist! Customers have been so supportive in Broadway and I love hearing from the lovely team of girls that works there all about who purchased what RedMeg and why. It's what makes them such a great store, alongside the vast range of beautiful leather handbags and accessories, the staff there really like to take the time to chat to their customers and always find out the most interesting stories from them! You can find La Bulle - Broadway tucked inside Cotswold court . First shop in from the high street on your left hand side or last shop down on the right from the car park depending on which end you are walking into Cotswold court! Directly opposite La Bulle is the lovely Leaf and Bean coffee shop if you are in need of a caffeine fix after all that shopping ( and they make the best cake in house!)

 Burford...

We are also stocked in La Bulle in Burford . This is the sister store to our Broadway stockist that was opened following the success of the original store. Our studio is situated just above our Burford stockist so it's a very cosy affair! Burford is a lovely little town considered the southern gateway to the Cotswolds. Situated on a steep hill it has sweeping high street views showcasing such beautiful old Cotswold stone buildings. La Bulle - Burford can be found half way up the highstreet on the right hand side. Stocking a whole host of Italian leather handbags and accessories alongside a selection of our Redmeg goodies, it really is the only place you need to go if you are in search of your next favourite handbag! We are in the RedMeg studio above La Bulle in Burford at very irregular intervals but we do welcome visitors if we are in ! Just ask in store or drop us an email to megan@red-meg.co.uk to arrange a visit.

The lovely team at both Burford and Broadway 'La Bulle' work hard to keep both stores open come rain or shine. Broadway shop manager Kirsty even walked from her home in Childswickham to open during the last heavy snow we had! Now that's dedication!! So rest assured that both stores will be open this weekend despite the disruption due to the snow so we are offering 10% off any RedMeg purchases in store over the weekend for those of you brave enough to venture out for a spot of shopping! A warm welcome will always await you we can assure that...

Have a lovely snowy weekend folks, sunnier days will soon be upon us!

Meg x
